13-Year-Old Stabbed Outside Nîmes School; 16-Year-Old Suspect Detained

A 13-year-old boy was stabbed three times in the back on March 3, 2025, near the private Saint-Jean-Baptiste de La Salle school in Nîmes.
The 16-year-old suspect allegedly chased the victim through the school premises before attacking him in a nearby street.
The attack was reportedly instigated by the suspect's girlfriend, who accused the victim of mocking her earlier.
Both the suspect and his girlfriend have been placed in custody, facing charges of attempted murder and complicity in attempted murder, respectively.
The victim, though seriously injured, is not in life-threatening condition but has been issued a 45-day medical leave certificate.
