138,000 Platform Beds Recalled Due to Collapse Risk
The recall affects Lucid-branded beds sold at major retailers in the U.S. and Canada, following reports of injuries.
- CVB Inc. is recalling nearly 138,000 Lucid-branded platform beds with upholstered square tufted headboards.
- The beds, which were manufactured between 2019 and 2021, can sag, break, or collapse during use.
- To date, 245 incidents have been reported in the U.S., resulting in 18 injuries such as contusions and bruises.
- An additional 11 reports have been made in Canada, though no injuries have been reported there.
- Consumers are advised to stop using the beds immediately and contact Lucid for a free replacement frame.
