15 Hamburg Police Officers Investigated Over Racist and Nazi-Glorifying Chats

Hamburg police are investigating 15 active and retired officers for sharing racist, xenophobic, and Nazi-glorifying messages in private chats.
Search warrants were executed at the homes of six active and three retired officers, leading to the seizure of numerous data devices for analysis.
The investigation began after two officers, previously under scrutiny for unrelated offenses, were linked to the chats, prompting wider inquiries.
Messages under review reportedly include content that glorifies National Socialism and promotes violence, sent and received by officers aged 44 to 61.
Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against all 15 involved, with the Hamburg police's complaints and disciplinary unit leading the inquiry.
