16 Soldiers Injured in Accident at Valcartier Military Base

The accident involved two armoured vehicles during a training exercise, with all soldiers now released from hospital.

The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon at Canadian Forces Base Valcartier, near Quebec City.
Capt. Hermione Wilson confirmed the incident involved two armoured vehicles in the base’s training area.
Both civilian and military emergency services responded immediately to the scene.
Sixteen members of the 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
All injured soldiers have been released from the hospital as of Wednesday morning and repairs on the vehicles have begun.
