3 Baton Rouge police officers arrested amid investigations into alleged 'torture warehouse'

Multiple Baton Rouge police officers face criminal charges over allegations of assaulting detainees and covering up excessive force at an unmarked warehouse referred to as the "Brave Cave."
Deputy Chief Troy Lawrence Sr. and officers Jesse Barcelona and Todd Thomas were arrested and placed on leave over the scandal.
Investigations by the FBI and Baton Rouge Police Department found officers allegedly beat and strip searched detainees at the warehouse.
The charges against the officers include battery, obstruction of justice, malfeasance, and theft relating to destroying bodycam footage.
Police Chief Murphy Paul has taken disciplinary action, disbanded the street crimes unit involved, and committed to holding officers accountable.
