Her 3-year-old great-grandson, Bridger Peabody, retrieved her phone from a car in a dark driveway after neighbors couldn’t hear their calls for help.
Surveillance footage captured Bridger encouraging himself, saying, 'Don’t be afraid,' as he ventured into the dark to retrieve the phone.
Lewis was taken to a hospital where she received 22 staples for her head injury and is now recovering well.
Lewis and her family praised Bridger’s bravery, with Lewis calling him her hero, though Bridger humbly insists, 'I’m just Bridger.'
