356 Schools Nationwide Earn National Blue Ribbon Honors

- The award recognizes schools for either exemplary high performance or significant progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups.
- Texas had 31 schools recognized, the second highest number after California, which had 33.
- Public and private schools from elementary to high school levels were included, with a majority being elementary schools.
- The recognized schools will be formally honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. in November.
