72-Year-Old Woman Survives Four Days in Ravine After Car Crash

Penny Kay Clark, reported missing, was found conscious near her wrecked car in an Idaho canyon.

Penny Kay Clark, 72, was reported missing on Dec. 5 after she failed to return from running an errand.
Four days later, two men discovered Clark’s wrecked car about 200 yards down a canyon near Melba, Idaho.
Clark was found about 40 feet away from the crash site, conscious and alert.
Multiple agencies worked together to rescue Clark, carrying her out of the ravine over a period of nearly two hours.
Clark was then transferred to a hospital where she is currently recovering from her injuries.
