75-Year-Old Man Rescued After Four Days Trapped in Maine Bog

Michael Altmaier, missing since July 8, was located by a K-9 unit and airlifted to safety in surprisingly good condition.

Michael Altmaier, 75, went missing en route to a meeting in Weld, Maine.
His car was found at Mount Blue State Park, prompting a search by the Maine Warden Service.
Altmaier was discovered by Game Warden Kayle Hamilton and K-9 Ash, 3/4 mile from his car.
First responders provided initial aid before airlifting Altmaier to a local hospital.
Despite four days in the bog, Altmaier was in unexpectedly good health.
