8-Year-Old Survivor of Deadly Bus Crash in South Africa Returns Home

After surviving a tragic accident that claimed 45 lives, the young girl has been discharged from the hospital and is traveling back to Botswana.

An 8-year-old girl, Atlang Siako, is the sole survivor of a horrific bus crash in Limpopo, South Africa, which resulted in the death of 45 people.
The accident occurred as the bus, carrying passengers to an Easter pilgrimage, plunged over the Mmamatlakala Bridge and caught fire.
Atlang was discharged from the hospital on April 3 and is set to return to her home in Botswana, accompanied by her mother.
Efforts to identify the victims are ongoing, with at least 35 bodies retrieved so far.
Botswana will hold national memorial services to honor the victims of the tragedy.
