Gianluigi Donnarumma, formerly of AC Milan and current PSG goalkeeper, received a hostile reception from Milan fans who showered him with fake bank notes displaying his image and boos.
Even though PSG scored the opening goal through Milan Škriniar, AC Milan quickly recovered with an equalizer by Leão and later the match-winner by Giroud just after half-time.
The win provides a much-needed morale boost for Milan, who started the match at the bottom of Group F in the Champions League and had a disappointing recent run of form.
The match also marked the first return of Donnarumma to San Siro since his controversial departure from Milan as a free agent two years ago to join PSG.
