ACPR Flags 1,290 Fraudulent Financial Websites in 2024

The Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR) added 1,290 unauthorized financial websites to its blacklist in 2024, marking a 2.2% increase from 2023.
The majority of scams involved fake credit offers and savings accounts, with 64% using identity theft of legitimate financial institutions.
Fraudsters also targeted consumers with phishing schemes, impersonating the ACPR, Banque de France, and other regulatory bodies.
The ACPR urges consumers to verify the legitimacy of financial service providers using official registries like REGAFI, REFASSU, and ORIAS.
The blacklist is not exhaustive, as new fraudulent websites emerge frequently; victims are encouraged to report scams to authorities and seek assistance.
