Alleged Balkan Cartel Leader Extradited to Berlin for Trial

The 34-year-old Serbian national is accused of orchestrating multiple murders and leading a major organized crime network across Europe.

The suspect, arrested in Barcelona in October 2024, was extradited to Berlin and is now in pretrial detention.
Authorities allege he is a leader of the Balkan-based Vracar crime group, tied to over 80 murders and attempted murders in a feud with rival gangs.
He is accused of ordering a failed assassination in Berlin in February 2020, targeting a rival gang leader who later died in a car bombing in Montenegro.
The suspect is wanted in Austria, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia for charges including murder, armed robbery, and weapons violations.
Investigators identified his involvement through encrypted Sky ECC messages, but the suspect has declined to comment on the allegations.
