Allianz Leben CEO Katja de la Viña Steps Down to Prioritize Family

After two and a half years in the role, de la Viña will transition to a part-time position at Allianz while her successor, Ruedi Kubat, takes over in January.

  • Her successor, Ruedi Kubat, currently CEO of Allianz Switzerland, will assume the position on January 1, 2025.
  • Kubat’s role in Switzerland will be filled by Laura Gersch, the current CFO of Allianz Versicherungs-AG, the company’s German property and casualty insurance division.
  • De la Viña, who has been with Allianz since 2016, leaves the role after a successful tenure, during which she strengthened the company’s market leadership and financial stability.
