Amazon Contract Drivers in California Unionize with Teamsters, Win Higher Pay and Benefits

Contract drivers and dispatchers working for third-party Amazon delivery partners in Palmdale, California have joined Teamsters Local 396.
The drivers are employed by Battle-Tested Strategies which provides delivery services to Amazon.
Battle-Tested Strategies and Local 396 have reached a tentative agreement that provides pay increases and a grievance procedure for workers.
The Teamsters represent UPS drivers and have been trying to unionize Amazon drivers for years.
The Teamsters are preparing for potential strike action as their UPS contract expires in August.
