Amazon Launches New Division to Sell Streaming and Library Content

Amazon will distribute its original streaming series and films through a new division.
The division will also sell MGM's library of content including James Bond and Rocky.
Chris Ottinger, formerly of MGM Distribution, will lead the new Amazon MGM Studios Distribution division.
The new division will launch by selling content at the L.A. Screenings market this month.
The goal is to generate more revenue from Amazon and MGM content by distributing to various platforms like syndication, cable, and streaming services.
