This new service includes 24/7 access to on-demand virtual care, and the ability to schedule same or next-day in-person appointments at One Medical locations across the U.S.
This offering is part of Amazon's push into the healthcare industry, following its $3.9 billion acquisition of One Medical in early 2023.
Despite previous unsuccessful ventures into healthcare, such as Amazon Care and a partnership with Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan, Amazon continues to expand its health services with telemedicine offerings and an online pharmacy.
The One Medical fee does not cover the cost of in-office visits, which can either be billed through insurance or paid out-of-pocket.
