Amazon Revives 'Thank My Driver' Initiative, Offers Cash Rewards to Delivery Drivers

The first 2 million drivers to receive a thank you will get $5 from Amazon, with additional rewards for the most-thanked drivers through December.

Amazon has revived its 'Thank my driver' initiative, allowing customers to tip their delivery drivers at no cost to them. The first 2 million drivers to receive a thank you will also get $5 from Amazon.
Customers can thank their drivers by saying 'Alexa, thank my driver' or through the Amazon app. This gesture is only available for deliveries made within the past 14 days.
After the first 2 million thank yous, Amazon will offer additional rewards, including $100 each for the 1,000 most-thanked drivers each day through the rest of December and $10,000 for the five top-thanked drivers each week until the end of December.
The five most-thanked Amazon drivers from December 12 to December 31 will receive $25,000 plus an extra $25,000 to be donated to the charity of their choice.
Other ways to show appreciation to delivery drivers include leaving snacks and refreshments on porches, or preparing a small gift for regular drivers.
