Amazon Wins Bidding War for Action-Adventure Series Starring Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer

Amazon Prime Video has won a bidding war for a new action-adventure series starring Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer, based on an original idea from Tessa Coates.
The untitled series, produced by Skydance Television, Double Dream, and Spencer's Orit Entertainment, will consist of eight episodes.
Waddingham and Spencer will play best friends Judith and Debbie. Judith, unbeknownst to Debbie, is a highly trained assassin. When a hit goes wrong, they must go on the run together, targeted by a mysterious enemy.
The series marks the first project from Spencer's production company Orit Entertainment's first-look deal with Skydance Television.
Both Waddingham and Spencer have expressed excitement about the project, praising Coates' script and the opportunity to work together.
