AMC Theatres Shuts Down Streaming Service, Transfers Library to Vudu

AMC Theatres is shutting down its AMC Theatres On Demand streaming service and transferring its entire digital library to Vudu, Fandango's video on-demand service.
AMC Theatres On Demand users must create Vudu accounts to access purchased content by August 31.
Many titles from AMC's streaming service will be upgraded to higher quality formats on Vudu, including 4K Ultra HD.
The partnership allows Vudu to profit from new movies in AMC theaters and gain more users while AMC earns revenue.
New Vudu users from AMC's streaming service will receive a 15% discount on purchases their first month.
