Angel Reese to Miss Unrivaled Semifinal After Reinjuring Left Hand

The Defensive Player of the Year’s status for the championship game remains uncertain as Unrivaled playoffs begin Sunday.

Angel Reese, star forward for Rose BC, will not play in Sunday's Unrivaled semifinal due to a left hand injury sustained in the regular-season finale.
Reese had surgery on the same hand in September, which ended her rookie WNBA season early with the Chicago Sky.
She was named Unrivaled Defensive Player of the Year on Saturday after leading the league in rebounds (12.1 per game) and anchoring Rose’s top-ranked defense.
Reese made history this season with the first 20-20 game in Unrivaled, recording 22 points and 21 rebounds in a win over the Lunar Owls.
The Unrivaled semifinals and championship game will air on TNT, truTV, and Max, with Reese’s availability for Monday's final still unclear.
