Anti-Flag’s Justin Sane Sued for Alleged Rape of Fan in 2010

Lawsuit also implicates band's distribution company, Hardwork Distribution, Inc., for negligence and failure to protect fans.

  • Justin Sane, real name Justin Geever, of the now-disbanded punk rock group Anti-Flag, has been sued for the alleged rape of a fan in 2010.
  • The lawsuit was filed by Kristina Sarhadi, a New York holistic therapist and health coach, who claims Geever used his platform to groom and lure vulnerable girls.
  • Sarhadi alleges that Geever invited her to his motel room under the pretense of listening to an unreleased song, where he then assaulted her.
  • The lawsuit also names Hardwork Distribution, Inc., the distribution arm of Anti-Flag’s A-F Records, arguing they should have known about Geever's alleged misconduct and had a duty to protect fans.
  • The lawsuit was filed under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which allows victims of sexual offenses to file a civil suit against their abuser regardless of the statute of limitations.
