iPhone users in Japan can now access emergency services without cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity through iOS 17.6 update.

Emergency SOS via satellite now available on iPhone 14 and 15 models in Japan.
The feature enables contact with emergency services even in remote areas.
Service is free for two years after activating a new iPhone.
Japan joins 16 other countries where this feature has already proven to save lives.
Users can share their location through the Find My app using satellite connectivity.
