Apple Introduces Wireless Recovery for iPhone 16 Models

iOS 18 allows users to restore bricked iPhone 16 devices using another iPhone or iPad without needing a Mac or PC.

The new wireless recovery feature is part of iOS 18, which uses RecoveryOS to restore firmware.
This capability was previously available for Apple Watch and Apple TV but is now extended to iPhone 16 models.
Users can initiate recovery by placing the iPhone 16 near another iPhone or iPad, which will download and transfer the necessary firmware.
The feature relies on a special recovery partition in the iPhone 16, making the process independent of the main iOS system.
It remains unclear if Apple will extend this functionality to older iPhone models in the future.
