The microphone upgrade is part of a series of enhancements planned for the iPhone 16, including a graphene heat sink to address overheating issues and exclusive on-device AI features.
The new microphones are expected to provide improved water resistance and enhance the signal-to-noise ratio, ensuring a stronger signal amid background noise.
Kuo forecasts that these upgrades could lead to a 100% to 150% surge in the sale price of the microphones for the iPhone 16 series.
Apple's component suppliers Goertek and AAC are expected to benefit the most from these hardware upgrades.
