- Over the past five years the App Store has prevented more than $9 billion in fraudulent transactions, including over $2 billion in 2024 alone.
- In 2024 Apple terminated over 146,000 developer accounts and rejected 139,000 enrollments to stop bad actors before they could submit apps.
- The App Review team evaluated 7.7 million submissions in 2024, rejecting 1.9 million for security, reliability or user-experience violations and removing 37,000 apps for fraud.
- Discovery-fraud measures last year eliminated more than 143 million fake ratings and reviews and delisted thousands of deceptive apps from charts and search results.
- In the past month Apple also blocked nearly 4.6 million illicit app install attempts, identified 4.7 million stolen credit cards and banned 1.6 million accounts from transacting.
