The Journal app allows users to insert media into their text and suggests prompts based on personal data, such as recently listened songs or photos taken earlier in the day.
iOS 17.2 will also introduce live sticker reactions in messages, a translate feature for the action button, and the ability to record spatial video, a 3D-esque video format, on the iPhone 15 Pro.
Apple's iOS 17.2 is currently in its fourth beta testing phase and is expected to be released to the public before the end of 2023.
Other features include the ability to react to messages using any sticker or emoji in the Messages app, and the ability to assign the Action button to a new 'Translate' option for iPhone 15 Pro users.
