Apple's Safari Introduces 'Distraction Control' to Enhance Browsing

New feature in iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia allows users to hide unwanted web elements, improving user experience.

Distraction Control lets users manually hide pop-ups, ads, and other static elements on websites.
The feature is not an ad blocker and hidden elements reappear upon page refresh.
Settings do not sync across devices; users must enable it on each device individually.
Available in the latest developer betas, with a public release expected soon.
Other Safari updates include Highlights for key information and an improved Reader mode.
