Argentina Reports 44% Surge in Antisemitic Incidents Post-Oct. 7

Argentina saw a 44% increase in reported antisemitic incidents in 2023, mostly occurring after October 7.
According to DAIA, 57% of all antisemitic incidents last year took place in the three months following the attack on Israel.
The proportion of antisemitic incidents related to Israel jumped from 11% in 2022 to 40% in 2023.
There was a notable rise in in-person antisemitic incidents, with 150 reported in the three months post-Oct. 7, compared to 72 in the nine months prior.
Examples of incidents include graffiti with the word 'Hamas' and derogatory menu items at a restaurant, which were later changed after community backlash.
