An unidentified man robbed a discount store in Frankenthal on Saturday evening, brandishing a knife to threaten the cashier.
The suspect made off with a low four-figure sum of cash, leaving the scene before police could apprehend him.
Despite several customers being present, none appeared to notice the robbery as it occurred.
The suspect was described as wearing a green scarf, blue jeans, black shoes, a gray vest, a black jacket, and a black Nike cap.
Police are seeking witnesses who may have observed suspicious activity around the store's location on Am Kanal street.
