Ashlee Shingoose Identified as Buffalo Woman in Winnipeg Serial Killer Case

Winnipeg police confirm Ashlee Shingoose, a 31-year-old mother of three, as the fourth victim of Jeremy Skibicki, with her remains believed to be at Brady Landfill.

Winnipeg police have identified Buffalo Woman, previously unnamed, as Ashlee Shingoose of St. Theresa Point First Nation through DNA evidence from a jacket.
Jeremy Skibicki, convicted in 2024 of murdering four Indigenous women, met Shingoose near a Winnipeg homeless shelter in March 2022 before killing her.
Shingoose's remains are believed to be at the Brady Landfill, and discussions are underway to begin a search to recover her body.
The identification follows the recovery and identification of the remains of two other victims, Morgan Harris and Marcedes Myran, at Prairie Green Landfill earlier this month.
The case has reignited national calls to address systemic violence against Indigenous women, with leaders and families demanding justice and reform.
