ASUS GPU Prices Skyrocket, Exceeding MSRPs by Up to 68%

ASUS has raised the prices of its RTX 5090 and RX 9070 series GPUs, with some models now priced as high as 1.68 times their original MSRPs.
The ASUS ROG Astral LC RTX 5090 remains at $3,410, well above its $2,800 MSRP, while the air-cooled model saw a $280 increase to $3,360.
The Prime RX 9070 XT OC model now costs $719, $120 above its $599 MSRP, while the base RX 9070 has increased by $110 to $659.
Unlike previous GPU price surges driven by scalpers, this inflation is attributed to manufacturers and retailers raising prices, citing increased production costs.
AMD has pledged to prioritize restocking its RX 9070 series GPUs at more affordable prices, offering a potential relief for consumers navigating the inflated market.
