Australia's Sam Kerr, Saudi Arabia's Salem Al-Dawsari Named Asian Football Confederation's Players of the Year

Australia's Sam Kerr and Saudi Arabia's Salem Al-Dawsari have been named the Asian Football Confederation's Players of the Year, each for the second time, which is a standout achievement.
Al-Dawsari is recognized not only for his World Cup goal against Argentina but also for leading his club, Al-Hilal, to the finals of the 2022 Asian Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Sam Kerr, in addition to receiving this award, has also been honoured for her performance with Chelsea, with whom she secured a league and cup double.
These awards were presented for the first time in four years due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the players' resilience and continued excellence under challenging circumstances.
In addition to the player accolades, accolades for best men's coach and best women's coach were awarded to Hajime Moriyasu of Japan and Shui Qingxia of China, respectively, for their exceptional leadership and success over the past year.
