• In 2024, Bavaria recorded 1,829 hate crimes, surpassing the previous high of 1,682 in 2023, marking a 70% increase from 2022.
• Right-wing extremist groups were responsible for 74% of these offenses, a 45% rise in such crimes since 2022.
• Crimes against refugees included 230 incidents, with 16 violent assaults and three severe arson attacks on refugee housing in Bayreuth, Putzbrunn, and Krumbach.
• Antisemitic offenses remained near record levels, with 579 incidents in 2024, just below the 2023 peak of 589 cases.
