Bay Area Bridge Tolls Set to Increase to $11.50 by 2030

The Bay Area Toll Authority proposes gradual toll hikes to fund bridge maintenance and encourage electronic payments.

The Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) has proposed a series of toll increases for seven state-owned bridges, starting in 2026.
The toll for FasTrak users will rise incrementally from $8.50 in 2026 to $10.50 by 2030.
Drivers using license plate accounts or receiving invoices will face higher costs, reaching up to $11.50 by 2030.
The public can comment on the proposal from November 4 to December 3, with opportunities to participate in a webinar and a public hearing.
The toll hikes aim to offset decreased revenue post-pandemic and rising maintenance costs for the aging bridge infrastructure.
