Bears, TE Kmet agree to 4-year, $50M extension

Kmet and the Bears have agreed to a 4-year, $50M contract extension.
The deal includes $32.8M guaranteed and $20M in new first-year cash.
Kmet had a productive 2021 season, leading Bears receivers with 60 catches for 612 yards and 7 TDs.
The extension makes Kmet one of the highest paid tight ends in average annual value.
The deal is GM Ryan Poles' first multiyear extension since joining the Bears.
