Berlin Police Officer Injured in Violent Brawl Involving 15 People at Kottbusser Tor

A 33-year-old suspect, known for prior offenses, attacked an officer with a wooden plank during the altercation and resisted arrest.

Police responded to a violent clash involving approximately 15 individuals near the U-Bahn station at Kottbusser Tor in Berlin-Kreuzberg on Monday evening.
Officers used pepper spray to disperse the group and break up the fight, which occurred around 5:30 PM local time.
During the incident, a 33-year-old man attempted to flee and struck a police officer on the hand with a wooden plank, causing minor injury.
The suspect, already known to law enforcement for previous offenses in the area, resisted arrest and sustained a head wound, which was treated by emergency medical personnel.
The injured police officer received treatment but was able to continue his duties following the incident.
