Bezos Commissions Yacht With Sculpture Resembling Girlfriend

Jeff Bezos' new $500 million megayacht, named Koru, has a wooden sculpture on the prow resembling his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez.
The sculpture shows a woman with long hair in a flowing dress and may be wearing a necklace with the Māori symbol for "new beginnings," the meaning of the ship's name.
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez were recently spotted together on the yacht off the coast of Spain on its maiden voyage.
The 417-foot sailing yacht is the world's largest and took $500 million and years to build.
The yacht caused controversy in Rotterdam last year when its masts were too tall to pass under a historic bridge, prompting the shipbuilder to withdraw its request and tow the yacht away without the masts.
