Bezos' Day 1 Families Fund Grants $117 Million to Aid Homeless Families

Jeff Bezos' Day 1 Families Fund has announced $117 million in new grants to organizations across the U.S. and Puerto Rico that aid families experiencing homelessness.
The grants are part of a $2 billion commitment Bezos made in 2018 to support homeless families and to run free preschools.
This round of funding brings the total awarded by the Bezos Day 1 Families Fund to nearly $640 million.
The grants range from $150,000 to $5 million and are being distributed to 38 organizations in 23 states.
Bezos and his partner, Lauren Sánchez, have stated they are committed to giving away the majority of his wealth within his lifetime.
