Bidens Celebrate Early Thanksgiving with Servicemen and Servicewomen in Virginia

The President and First Lady Served Food at Friendsgiving Dinner and Introduced a Film Screening at Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden celebrated an early Thanksgiving meal with servicemen and servicewomen at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia.
The Bidens served food at the Friendsgiving dinner, with President Biden serving mashed potatoes and the first lady serving sweet potato casserole.
Families of the servicemen and servicewomen were also present for the dinner, during which Biden thanked them and described the military as the '1%' that protects the '99% of us.'
Prior to the dinner, the Bidens visited Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads, where the president introduced a screening of the new film Wonka.
Later this week, the president and his wife will spend Thanksgiving on Nantucket, an island in Massachusetts.
