Billie Eilish has accused Variety magazine of outing her during a red carpet interview at the Variety’s Hitmakers event on December 2, 2023.
In a previous interview with Variety, Eilish had discussed her attraction to women, but did not consider it as coming out.
Eilish expressed her frustration on Instagram, stating that she likes both boys and girls and questioned why it matters.
She also stated that she does not believe in the concept of 'coming out' and questioned why people can't just exist.
Eilish and her brother Finneas were awarded the outlet's film song of the year honor for 'What Was I Made For?,' their song from the Barbie movie.
