Bissell Recalls Over 3 Million Steam Cleaners After 157 Burn Injuries Reported

The recall affects multiple models sold across North America, with customers advised to stop using the devices immediately.

Around 3.3 million Bissell Steam Shot handheld steam cleaners are being recalled in the U.S. and Canada due to burn hazards.
The recall includes models from the 39N7 and 2994 series, which can expel hot water or steam during use or heating.
Bissell has received 183 reports of hot water or steam escaping, resulting in 157 minor burn injuries.
Affected customers can receive a $60 credit or a $40 refund by registering on Bissell's recall website.
The steam cleaners were sold from August 2008 through May 2024 at major retailers and online.
