Black Sabbath Announces Epic Farewell Festival 'Back to the Beginning'
The legendary metal band will reunite for one final performance with an all-star lineup at Birmingham's Villa Park, with proceeds going to charity.
- Black Sabbath's original lineup, including Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, will reunite for their first live performance in two decades, marking their final show together.
- The one-day festival, titled 'Back to the Beginning,' will feature performances from iconic metal acts such as Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Alice In Chains, and Gojira, among others.
- The event will also include collaborations between prominent musicians like Tom Morello, Billy Corgan, Slash, Duff McKagan, and members of KoRn and Disturbed, orchestrated by Morello as musical director.
- All proceeds from the festival will be donated to Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, reflecting the band's commitment to giving back to their hometown of Birmingham.
- Tickets for the festival, set to take place on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park, will go on sale on February 14, with additional performers expected to be announced soon.
