Blackhawks to retire Chris Chelios' No. 7 jersey in February ceremony

The Chicago Blackhawks announced they will retire former captain Chris Chelios' No. 7 jersey.
The ceremony is scheduled for February 25 when the Blackhawks host the Detroit Red Wings.
Chelios will become the ninth Blackhawks player to have his number retired by the franchise.
The decision to honor Chelios was in discussion within the organization for years and was a wish of the late owner Rocky Wirtz.
The Blackhawks may retire more player jerseys in the future, breaking from their previous limited number of retirements.
