Body of New York Man Retrieved After Boat Sinks in Long Island Sound, Second Person Still Missing

38-Year-Old Juan Gabriel Valle Pineda Identified as Victim, Three Others Rescued After Fishing Boat Tragedy Near Westport, Connecticut.

38-year-old Juan Gabriel Valle Pineda from Spring Valley, New York, was one of the five people on a small fishing boat that capsized in the Long Island Sound near Westport, Connecticut.
The Bridgeport Fire Department recovered Pineda's body around 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
Three of the individuals on the boat were successfully rescued, leaving Pineda and one other person unaccounted for at the time.
Authorities found the sunken boat earlier on Tuesday, but the second missing person has not yet been recovered.
Westport Police have extended their sympathies to Pineda's family and remain hopeful about recovering the second missing person.
