Bolsonaro supporter sentenced to 17 years in prison for role in storming of Brazil's capital

Pereira was filmed inside government buildings calling for a military coup during the unrest.
The Supreme Court convicted Pereira of five crimes including attempted coup and criminal association.
Nearly 1,500 people were arrested after supporters of former president Bolsonaro stormed government offices.
The riots mirrored the January 6th Capitol attack in the U.S. and were aimed at disputing Bolsonaro's election defeat.
