Boy, 11, Shot in Head While Retrieving Football in Lancashire

The child sustained a fractured skull from a metal pellet fired by an air weapon; police have identified a juvenile of interest.

The incident occurred on Roadtrain Avenue in Leyland, Lancashire, around 7:20 PM Monday.
The boy was playing football with friends when he was shot while climbing a fence to retrieve a ball.
He underwent surgery at Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool and is now recovering.
Lancashire Police are conducting inquiries and have identified another juvenile as a person of interest.
