Boy Saves Sister from Kidnapper Using Slingshot
- An 8-year-old Michigan girl escaped an attempted kidnapping when her 13-year-old brother used a slingshot to strike the attacker.
- The accused assailant, a 17-year-old, has been charged with attempted kidnapping/child enticement, attempted assault to do great bodily harm less than murder, and assault and battery.
- The girl was in her backyard when the attacker came out of the woods, grabbed her and covered her mouth.
- The teenager had visible wounds from the slingshot and was arrested based on a family member's description of the suspect.
- The incident occurred in the city of Alpena and the accused was arrested by Michigan State Police.
