British Teenager Dies in Skiing Accident on Italian Slope

The 14-year-old lost control on a descent in the Dolomites, crashing into a tree despite wearing a helmet.

The accident occurred on the Falzarego intermediate red run near Cortina d’Ampezzo, a popular skiing destination in northern Italy.
Witnesses reported the boy gained excessive speed after hitting a dip on the slope, causing him to lose control and crash into a tree.
Emergency responders attempted to revive the teen for 30 minutes using a defibrillator, but he succumbed to traumatic chest injuries at the scene.
The boy was on a half-term holiday with his parents and other families, who were present during the incident and are now receiving psychological support.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine if any additional factors or obstacles contributed to the fatal crash.
