Broadway-Bound 'Water for Elephants' Musical To Open Next Spring After 8 Years in Development

The musical is an adaptation of Sara Gruen's novel "Water for Elephants" set in the 1930s.
It will feature seven circus performers among the cast when it arrives on Broadway next spring.
The story follows the memories of the older main character looking back on his youth.
After initially being workshopped in Atlanta, the big-budget production is headed to Broadway as the season's priciest show.
